When we see the Earth as a living being, and we understand that this world that we see with our eyes is not the only reality, then we are on the path of Sacred Ecology. When we see all living things as sacred and realize that we are neither above nor beneath any other living being, we are on the path of Sacred Ecology. When we view the Earth as our Mother and treat Her with respect and conscientiousness, we are on the path of Sacred Ecology.

Books for Sacred Ecology
This is an introductory course in Sacred Ecology. Sacred Ecology is the study of the environment from a spiritual perspective. The course lasts for four weeks and there are no textbooks required. This course covers the four elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water and teaches ways of relating to each and their correspondences. Cost for this course is $25.
This is a five week course taught by Wren which introduces students to becoming more aware of their natural surroundings. It is called Eco-Shamanic Awareness because more than just becoming visually aware of the quiet lives around us, through doing a few simple exercises taught in this class we can become aware of our connection to nature on a spiritual level. The spirits of Earth and Her children are always with us, and this introductory course will help students become aware of not only their presence but tune into the great gifts a relationship with them has to offer. Cost of this course is $20.
Gaia Speaks is a fourteen month course in Sacred Ecology, divided into four levels. Each level (except for the last) is sixteen weeks long and covers different aspects of Sacred Ecology. There are textbooks required for each part, which the student must purchase on their own. The levels are as follows:
This level covers the seasons of the year, ancient Holy Days, daily devotions centered on the Holy Days, Earth Goddesses and the study of one herb/flower per week that is native to your area. In addition, each student will be asked to pick one plant that will become their ally for the duration of this segment. Gaia Speaks One lasts 16 weeks and there is a final project due at the end of the course. Textbooks required for this level are "The Celtic Spirit" by Caitlin Matthews and "The Findhorn Book of Connecting with Nature" by John R. Stowe. At the end of this level the student will be initiated into the mysteries of Gaia. Cost for this level is $75 or three payments of $25.
Gaia Speaks Two
This level covers endangered species, animal spirits and totems and beginning shamanism. The Medicine Cards, by Jamie Sams, are also taught. Students will be asked to actively work in the field of aiding endangered species, through whatever means are available to them. A final project is also due at the end of this segment. Textbooks for this level include "The Medicine Cards" (Book and cards) by Jamie Sams and "Earth Medicine" by Jamie Sams. At the end of this level students will receive a certificate of Apprenticeship. Cost for this level is $75 or three payments of $25.
Gaia Speaks Three
This level covers the Ancestors, Medicine Wheels, gemstones, birds and insects. Students will be making a gemstone oracle for their final project. Personal healing is included and students will become adept at understanding the spiritual healing that is available to them from Mother Earth. At the end of this level students become Wisdom-Keepers of Gaia. Books for this level are "Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic", by Scott Cunningham and "Nature's Way" by Ed McGaa, Eagle Man. Cost for this level is $75 or three payments of $25.
Gaia Speaks Four
This level covers Trees and the Ogham ritual (specifically Earth Healing rituals), and shamanism. The book for this level is "Medicine for the Earth" by Sandra Ingerman. Students will be asked to write and publish (on this site) rituals for Earth Healing. This level lasts 14 weeks, at the end of which the student will be honored as a Priestess/Priest of Gaia. Cost for this level is $75 or three payments of $25.
