Ritual for Peace on Earth

You will need:
A blue marble, or a small globe to symbolize Earth.
A bowl large enough to hold the marble/globe
Sea salt
Spring water
Two blue altar candles
Two white candles to represent Mary and Kuan Yin
A rose quartz (Mary) and an amethyst (Kuan Yin)
A soothing incense of your choice.
Mix the sea salt and spring water in the bowl and place on your altar.  Place the two white candles on either side of the bowl. Place one stone in front of each white candle.  Smudge yourself and your area with incense. Light your blue altar candles. Cast your circle in whatever manner you are accustomed to (this can be a formal circle, or perhaps just envisioning yourself and the altar surrounded by white light).

Sit before the altar in a comfortable position. Begin to concentrate on your breathing....in out, in out, in out....feel your chest rising and falling....rising and falling....Still your mind....Notice your thoughts, but do not engage them.  See them floating by.... When you are feeling peaceful and centered, light one of the white candles.  Hold the rose quartz up saying:

"Gracious Mary, Mother of god, hear me as I call to you.  Lend your ear to my prayer.  All around the Earth today, people are dying.  Innocent blood calls out from the soil.  I call to you Mother, to bring an end to this....I ask for peace to fill hardened hearts, for love to dwell where hatred once reigned, for arms to be laid down.  I call to thee, Mary, Gracious Mother.  Lend your ear to my prayer."

Hold the rose quartz, filling it with your prayer.  Touch it to the flame of the lit white candle, and then place it in the bowl of salt water.

Light the second white candle.  Hold the amethyst in the air saying:

"Holy Kuan Yin, Bodhisattva of Compassion, hear me as I call to you.  Lend your ear to my prayer.  The slain, the maimed, the fearful call out to you, Great One. Fill our hearts with your Grace, your Compassion.  Melt away anger and hatred, help us to see the sacred in all....to walk in love. 'She who hears the cries of the world', lend your ear to my prayer."

Hold the amethyst, filling it with your prayer.  Touch it to the flame of the second white candle, and then place it in the bowl of salt water.

Hold your power hand over the bowl of water.  Fill the water with the intention of peace.  You can picture this as a blue light.  Focus on pictures in your mind of people embracing, laying down arms, treaties being signed, etc.  Project these pictures into the bowl.  It is done. 

Next take the marble/globe and cup it in your hands.  Begin to chant:
Mary, Kuan Yin, Mary, Kuan Yin
Where hatred dwells let love begin
Mary, Kuan Yin, Mary, Kuan Yin
Cease the wars, cease the bloodshed
Cease the wars, cease the bloodshed
Cease the wars, cease the bloodshed
Mary, Kuan Yin, Mary, Kuan Yin
Where hatred dwells let love begin.
Continue chanting as long as you wish, improvising, adding.  Envision blue light filling the marble/globe in your hands.  Feel it coming in through your crown chakra, traveling down your arms, and filling the globe.  Continue picturing scenes of peace in your mind's eye.  Feel the energy, this blue peaceful energy, these scenes of peaceful encounters surrounding the marble/globe, growing and growing, until you can barely keep your hands cupped, they want to spread apart.....
When you feel it is complete and enough energy has been raised, place the marble/globe in the bowl of salt water with the rose quartz and amethyst, saying "It is done".

Open your circle, but leave the white candles to burn out (safely of course.)  Repeat this ritual frequently, using the same marble/globe.  In between times, store it and the rose quartz/amethyst in a pouch on your altar.  Pour the salt water on the earth.
